Orange County Library Services

Library Information Associate

  • Greets and assists visitors to request assistance or service; provides information regarding Library services and routine reference.

  • Assists customers with discovery of library materials, library equipment, and library resources; also assists customers on library technology.

  • Creates book displays as needed; also works on special projects such as making scavenger hunts, shelf-reading and weeding library collection, and occasionally writes posts for the library blog and Orlando Memory.

  • In March 2026, was recognized for my warm, approachable customer service by a Mystery Shopper and received 100%, boosting my department’s overall customer service score to 92%

Circulation Clerk

  • Greets and assists customers at the Circulation Desk which includes checking library materials in and out, maintaining patron accounts in the collection of fines and fees, and registering and issuing patron cards.

  • Assists patrons with discovery of library materials, library equipment and library resources.

  • Responds to questions and requests from the public; refer in depth questions to the branch librarian.

Huntington Learning Center

Teacher/Lead Teacher/Supervisor

  • Led students in a 1 to 1 setting or a small group of 4 during which assisted in advancing the language/reading comprehension skills of students in various grades; also led training of new teachers and monitored intake assessments of new students.

  • Designed interactive lessons for students with learning disabilities to improve their critical thinking and language skills. 

  • Assisted with administrative tasks such as making scheduling changes, answering the phone, responding to the questions of other teachers, etc. 

  • In July 2023, was recognized as Teacher of the Month for my innovative approach to motivating students and initiating administrative responsibilities.

Rock Lake Middle School  

Long-term Substitute Teacher, ELA

  • Designed engaging lesson plans and instructed middle school students based on Florida ELA 6-8 curriculum; updated gradebook consistently. 

  • Effectively led a classroom of students by keeping them on task and dealing with any behavioral issues when necessary. 

  • Monitored students during classroom hours; participated in an after-school program to help students improve their FSA essay writing skills..

Sales Associate

  • Assisted with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments so that students can get what they need for the semester.

  • Shelved, arranged, cleaned, and organized products/space within the store to maintain an appealing sales floor.

  • Evaluated individual works of student writing and provide feedback on organization, idea development, etc. in accordance with the company’s rubric. 

  • Managed multiple student submissions per day, working asynchronously to provide the best feedback as possible. 

  • Used learning strategies for the student to aid in the development of their skills, such as improving critical reading skills that include reading and researching for academic papers.

I helped a Reading/ELA teacher in her classroom by working with students one-on-one and reviewing ELA material with them.
